Tiger Woods looks set to keep on winning at the Greenbrier Classic in West Virginia this week, with many golfers using the tournament as a final tune-up before the Open Championship just 2 weeks from now. (Woods 7/2 to win the Greenbrier Classic).
Woods is the biggest and probably most recognised name in golf and competing in his first Greenbrier classic after a long hard 3 years of owner Jim Justice attempting to lure the star to play.
The 74 time PGA tour winner and world No 4, surpassed Jack Nicklaus with a 2-stroke victory at last weeks AT&T National in Washington, and with this victory keeping his world ranking, he is starting to be looked on as though he is back to the way he was; as one of the best golfers in the world.
It's safe to say Woods is back on track, even if he did suffer a slight hiccup at the US Open in the 3rd round, and continuing to win and perform well in such tournaments as the Greenbrier Classic will only help him to continue this in the long run. Thanks to his recent impressive run, Woods is now favourite to win the Open Championship 2012. (Woods 9/2 to win Open Championship).
