The Carling Cup semi-final 1st legs take place this week with Stoke v Liverpool first up on Tuesday night.

Both sides got beat at the weekend to get the new year off to the worst possible start. Only a point separates them in the league, but, expectations being what they are, it’s the Stoke fans who are far happier heading into 2016.

It's Tuesday and Cricket, Cup Football and Basketball dominate proceedings. For a full run down of all the televised sporting hghlights check out our exclusive scheduler below:

What's On - Monday: Sports Betting Schedule

It's Monday and after the weekend's football results and the climax of the PDC here's today's televised sporting hghlights; sure to hit the mark whatever your sporting passion:

Prior to this season, both sides would have looked at the Champions League as a realistic if ambitious aim, but come the half way point it's Spurs sitting pretty in fourth while Everton continue to frustrate, down in eleventh.

"We must come now in to a winning period of games, that's important." Guus Hiddink has revealed his master plan to try and salvage something from the wreckage of Chelsea's season – his ship steadying mission has passed off without incident so far.

Last up on Saturday, Man City travel to Watford looking for their first win in seven away matches. That's hardly title-winning form, and come kick-off City may well find themselves six points back from the top two, Arsenal and Leicester.

The early kick off gives Liverpool a chance to break in to the top 5 after spending most of 2015 mooching about in mid-table. 1-0 wins over Leicester City & Sunderland - Christian Benteke the scorer both times - moved the Reds on to 30 points, level with Manchester United.

First of all a very happy New Year to you all! 2015 ended extremely well for us at Seven Barrows – and Sprinter Sacre’s victory at Kempton certainly made our Christmas!
