Great Britain's Andy Murray will face Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka in his opening match of the Olympic tennis tournament. (Andy Murray 5/1 in Olympics Betting to win the tennis tournament).
Wawrinka, who is ranked no.26 in the world, is a gold medallist in the doubles from Beijing 2008 and will be a tough test for Andy Murray, who is the world no.4. The Scot is also in the same half of the draw as no.2 seed Novak Djokovic, but with world no.1 Roger Federer in the opposite half of the draw, we could see a rematch of June's Wimbledon final on the cards.
The 25-year-old hasn't got a bad record against Wawrinka though, winning 6 out of 10 encounters, including a Centre Court showdown in 2009, but Wawrinka and doubles team-mate Federer went home with the gold medal 4 years ago and as a result, Wawrinka will be a dangerous opponent to face. (Murray 1/10 in Olympics Betting to beat Wawrinka).
Should Murray be triumphant over Wawrinka he will face either Somdev Devvarman or Jarkko Nieminen in the second- round, and could end up facing Frenchman Richard Gasquet in round 3.
Murray will also team up with his brother Jamie in the doubles event and will face Austria's Jurgen Melzer and Alexander Peya. (Murray/Murray 25/1 in Olympics Betting to win the tennis men's doubles).
