Red Cadeaux is among a field of nine declared for the Princess of Wales's Stakes at Newmarket tomorrow afternoon. The Ed Dunlop trained six year old , placed in both the Melbourne Cup and Hong Kong Vase at the end of last year, again has the former race as his main objective.
However, the six year old (5/2 to win the Princess of Wales’s Stakes) has been quite active on home soil this term, winning the Yorkshire Cup and finishing in the frame in the Coronation Cup (second) and the Hardwicke Stakes (third). Three of the horses who finished behind him in the latter event at Royal Ascot - Jakkalberry (fifth), Fiorente (sixth) and Quest For Peace (10th) - are set to renew rivalry in the Newmarket race.
Jakkalberry's trainer Marco Botti is also represented by Joshua Tree, while the line-up is completed by Dandino, Harris Tweed (11/4 to win Princess of Wales's Stakes), Modun and outsider Sea Of Heartbreak (16/1 to win the Princess of Wales’s Stakes).
