The return of Frankel at Newbury dominates today's racing but StanJames.com have made Nehaam their Happy Hour horse in the listed Aston Park Stakes at 2.00. The firm's Rory Jiwani says, "John Gosden's inmate performed well at the end of last season but Ibicenco looks a real danger on his first start for Luca Cumani so we're going top price Nehaam until midday. He's currently the 15/8 favourite. We're also each way one-quarter odds all races on Channel 4 today.
"As far as Frankel is concerned, we've been yoyo-ing between 2/7 and 3/10 all morning for the Lockinge and we expect a surge of money before the off as well as plenty of accumulators based on the world's top-rated horse. He's 13/8 to win by up to and including 3 lengths, and 13/8 to win by more than 3 lengths. We also bet without Frankel with Excelebration the 2/9 favourite in that market and Dubawi Gold 15/2.
"The preceding London Gold Cup Handicap at 3.05 looks mightily competitive but Frankel's stablemate Thomas Chippendale has been all the rage in the colours of Sir Robert Ogden and is now 2/1 from 3/1. He makes his seasonal debut after just two runs last year, but clearly a big run is expected.
"In the opener at 1.30, Viewpoint has been very well backed for Richard Hannon and Richard Hughes from 7/1 into 4/1. The 2.30 looks a competitive sprint but everyone wants to be on David Barron's Bertiewhittle who is 4/1 from 6/1.
"Roger Charlton's Border Legend is 11/4 from 7/2 for The Queen in the 4.50 although Sir Michael Stoute's Sash Of Honour is fairly strong at the top of the market at 9/4. And there's been a big move in the 5.20 for William Knight's Dance Company who is 3/1 having been available at 15/2 this morning.
"At Newmarket, Frankel's brother Noble Mission is now the 7/4 favourite for the listed Fairway Stakes at 2.15 with Thought Worthy 2/1 in a race which could throw up a genuine Epsom Derby contender.
"In the sprint handicap at 2.45, there's been a rush on Mince for Roger Charlton who is 7/2 from 5/1 with Frankie Dettori on board. Richard Hannon's Democretes is 12/1 into 7/1 second favourite with Dark Castle now 17/2 from 16/1 for Sylvester Kirk. And in the staying handicap at 3.55, Bernie The Bolt is 7/1 from 12/1 for Andrew Balding.
"Two big moves to report at Thirsk. In the opener at 1.50, Jollification is 4/1 from 8/1 for George Baker. And in the feature sprint at 4.05, Bryan Smart's Excel Bolt is now the 4/1 favourite having been 7/1 this morning. Only 14 line up as three non-runners were declared this morning so it's only the first three for each-way backers."
