Swedish star-man Zlatan Ibrahimovic has completed his move from AC Milan to big-spending Ligue 1 runners-up PSG after the sides agreed a fee reported to be in the region of £15.7 million. Ibrahimovic who now at the age of 30 will be playing for his seventh different club and will hope to return to winning ways on the domestic front after falling short last season with Milan to rivals Juventus. That ended his successive run of eight years on the trot where he had won the league title with his domestic side (PSG 2/5 to win Ligue 1).
PSG are undergoing somewhat of a revolution at the Parc des Princes Stadium and with the likes of Pastore, Lavezzi, Thiago Silva and now Ibrahimovic in their side they could well be in for a successful period for a club who have only won the French title twice since their formation and have never picked up Europe’s biggest prize. A Champions League trophy, although obviously desperately difficult to attain, will be on the minds of the powers that be at PSG given their recent spending and if they can continue to splash out on Europe’s biggest talents then this may arrive sooner rather than later (PSG 16/1 to win the Champions League 2013).
