Van Der Vaart To Stay At Spurs?

Social Sharing:

Van Der VaartDespite all the speculation linking the Tottenham ace with a move away this summer, Rafael Van der Vaart is insistent he remains firmly committed to the White Hart Lane outfit and looks to be encouraged by the appointment of Andre Villas-Boas as manager (Tottenham 2/1 for a Top 4 finish). In a recent interview he claimed, “My place is at Spurs. I want to win the title with this club. Each summer my name appears in the transfer market.” He continued. “I have heard excellent reports about AVB. We have very good attacking players and if AVB imposes an offensive system the team could be a real spectacle.”

Keeping Van der Vaart would be huge for the new manager, who is so desperate to prove that his time at Chelsea was simply a blip. AVB is still 34 years old and will be one of the youngest managers in the Premier League, however his record in Porto speaks for itself and if he can manage to command more respect from his players than he did at Chelsea, then Spurs could be in for a fantastic future with the Portuguese tactician at the helm (Andre Villas-Boas 1/7 to still be manager of Spurs on last day of 2012/2013 season).
