Fulham striker Moussa Dembele believes his team can earn three points when they travel to Anfield tonight. The Belgian playmaker is eyeing a victory to make up for their dismal performance against Everton at the weekend. (Fulham 5/1 to beat Liverpool tonight).
Liverpool have had a poor run in front of their home fans this season, only winning 5 in 17 league games. The clubs main focus at the moment will be the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.
Dembele said: "We want to prove ourselves when we go back up to Merseyside, because the Everton game was not our best performance. We can go level on points with Liverpool if we win, so I am more eager to beat them."
Fulham were without manager Martin Jol on the touchline at Goodison Park as the Dutchman was suffering from a chest infection, but he returns to the dugout at Anfield tonight. Jol's presence appeared to be badly missed during the Everton game as Fulham suffered a 4-0 defeat. (Liverpool 4/7 to beat Fulham tonight).
Dembele believes it is best to play a game against Liverpool's best possible team tonight. He said: "We want to finish above Liverpool so now is our chance. We need to win this game if we want to do that. I want to play against the best Liverpool team. For me, I hope they play with their best players."
Fulham have had a good season in the league under Jol currently sitting in 9th place and could race further into the top ten should they claim a victory at Anfield. (Fulham 29/10 to draw against Liverpool tonight).
