Dutch wait on De Zeeuw verdict

Holland midfielder Demy De Zeeuw could miss the World Cup Final (Netherlands 6/5 to win the World Cup) after he suffered a suspected broken jaw in the 3-2 semi-final win over Uruguay on Tuesday.
The Ajax star was forced off at half-time after he was caught by the boot of Uruguay defender Martin Caceres.
He has been sent to hospital for scans amid concerns he has broken his jaw and faces an anxious wait to see if he will be fit for Sunday's final, against either Spain or Germany (both 9/4 to win World Cup outright), in Soccer City.
De Zeeuw only started against Uruguay due to the suspension of Manchester City's Nigel de Jong, so he would be expected to come back in if the midfielder is ruled out.
Dirk Kuyt, meanwhile, hailed Holland's progress to the final as "incredible" and has called on the side to "write history" by winning the World Cup for the first time.
"After a long journey we are in the final," said the Liverpool forward. "We are so close to writing history. This is the third time we have reached the final. Now we have to win it."
"What has happened is unbelievable. It is a bit unreal," he added.
"We felt before the tournament we had the quality in the team to win it but now it is an incredible feeling."
