Southampton take on Manchester United this afternoon in the Premier League in what could well be a lively fixture. United have made a shaky start to the season with a loss against Everton and a nervy win at home to Fulham last weekend, whilst Southampton looked promising in their opening day defeat to Manchester City before disappointing last week at home to Wigan. Manchester United have allowed more shots on target against them than any other side and Southampton were the top scoring side in the Championship last season. Could we see a high scoring game? Over 2.5 goals is at 4/7 and over 3.5 is at 11/8.
Manchester United are worthy favourites at 8/15 to win the match and even without the injured Wayne Rooney, the likes of Robin Van Persie and Shinji Kagawa will be hard to stop and could well make the afternoon extremely difficult for the Saints. Southampton are 6/1 for the victory and that could entice those amongst you who have not been convinced by United’s start and believe Southampton could cause a shock here at a decent price.
