Murray to kick off ATP World Tour Finals

British number one Andy Murray will open up the ATP World Tour Finals on Sunday against US Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro and has called for the season to be shortened.
The 22-year-old holds a 4-1 advantage in the head-to-head record against Del Potro and is the 4/11 favourite in Stan James match betting, with the Argentinian available at 2/1.
Roger Federer (1/6 in the match betting) will take on Fernando Verdasco (4/1) in the other Group A game on Sunday, with the other games taking place on Tuesday and Thursday, with Group B getting underway on Monday.
Murray (4/1 in the outright betting) has admitted it has been a long year and he is hoping that things may change in the future.
"As soon as the O2 is finished, I have four or five days off before I go out to Miami to train in warm conditions," he said.
"It's a long year, tough for all the players and the more matches you play, the tougher it gets.
"You have to pace yourself and get rest during the year - hopefully there will be a change to that soon."
World number one Roger Federer is the 5/2 favourite in Stan James outright betting for the tournament, ahead of Novak Djokovic at 11/4 while Rafael Nadal is on offer at 7/1.
