Taylor revelling at Grand Slam

Phil Taylor fed off the crowd atmosphere at the Wolverhampton Civic Centre to set up a semi-final against Raymond Van Barneveld at the Grand Slam of Darts.
The PDC king is 1/7 favourite in Stan James match betting to see off 'Barney', who is available at 9/2, while Taylor is also the warm order to claim the title at 1/5, with Barneveld at 15/2, Terry Jenkins at 8/1 and Scott Waites at 16/1.
Fourteen-time world champion Taylor, took a while to warm-up in his last-eight match up against BDO counterpart Tony O'Shea, but a 74 checkout clinched a 6-4 lead at the second interval and he never looked back.
'The Power' cruised to the last four from then on with a 16-7 win, finishing with a 104.34 average, and paid tribute to both his opponent and the crowd as he moved closer to a hat-trick of Grand Slam titles.
"We both started a bit slowly," Taylor said. "He came back at me and was pushing me. Towards the middle of the game both of us started clicking.
"I thought the atmosphere was one of the best I've ever played in.
"It was a great game to be involved in. He's got a lot of bottle and doesn't give up."
